Steve Porter már "új generációs" DJ és producer, akinek nevét a legnagyobbak között emlegetik. Steve igen termékeny zeneszerzõ, így hamar felfigyelt rá a nemzetközi szcéna, s rövid idõ alatt befutott az Egyesült Államokban, majd az egész világon.
2005 februárjában jelent meg a Fade Records-nál elsõ szerzõi albuma, a Homegrown. A 14 trackbõl már a megjelenés elõtt több is felkeltette más rangos kiadók és producerek figyelmét. A "Vodka Cranberries"-t a Nu Republic szúrta ki magának, a "Definite From"-ot a Little Mountain Records (mely Sander Kleinenberg nevéhez fûzõdik). Kleinenberg a kiszemelt tracket fel is használta a legutóbbi Everybody CD-jéhez. A "Swanky"-t Felix Da Houscat építette bele legutóbbi kompilációjába (Playboy: The Mansion).
Steve csodagyerekként látta meg a napvilágot, s vonzódása a zenéhez már egész pici korában kiderült. Késõbb, 16 évesen már kialakult határozott zenei ízlésvilága, s mindenek fölött az elektronikus zenék iránti érdeklõdése. Steve-et Chris Fortier fedezte fel, amikor 1999-ben meghallgatott egy CD-t, amin Steve saját trackjei voltak. Chris azonnal leszerzõdtette õt a FADE Records-hoz.
Nem sokkal ezek után pedig legifjabb csapattagként beállt a The Collective Agency-hez, olyan nevek mellé, mint pl. Sasha, Lee Burridge vagy James Zabiela. Elkezdett turnézni szerte a világban: Az Egyesült Államokban, Kanadában, Dél-Amerikában, Ausztráliában, Ázsiában és Európában. Együtt szerepelt Sashával az Airdrawndagger & Involver North Amerikan turnén, az Essential Mix Touron Sander Kleinenberggel. A naptára most is nagyon zsúfolt, rengeteg fellépése van a földkeregség minden táján.
Az utóbbi 6 év alatt iszonyatos mennyiségû produkció került ki a kezei közül (több mint 50 single, csaknem 30 remix), s nemcsak a saját nevét használva (õt takarja pl. az Agent 001, ill. a HDF & Bons is). Steve egy igazi sokoldalú géniusz, munkája nem csak a stúdiójában zajlik (ahol a zenéket komponálja). Immár 5 éve rezidenskedik a RISE-ban, mely Boston legfelkapottabb after-klubja. A 2005-ös Winter Music Conference-en zajos sikert aratott Porterhouse party-jával a State nightclub-ban. Steve rajongói már jól ismerik az õ "Porterhouse"-át, az impozánsan eklektikus, funky-s, house-os, tech-es hangzását, mely a saját trackjeiben és mixeiben ölt testet.
Porterhouse lényege, hogy forró, funky-s basszusok és pergõ dobok, szívbemarkoló, dögös gitárszólamok és dallamos zongorakíséret segítségével energiát öntsön belénk, akik a zenéjét hallgatjuk. Nincs ebben semmi varázslat vagy misztikum, a Porterhouse igazi house party a javából!

Once in a blue moon there comes along a prodigy that is noticed by the big guns and whose talent catapults them onto the world stage. Something of a child prodigy from a famous scientist father, Steve’s first love was discovering electronic sounds at 16 years old. From Boston to New York, Steve Porter has evolved from record store clerk, mobile DJ to New England rave DJ to landing on the roster at one of the most prestigious booking agencies in the world. Steve Porter was discovered by Chris Fortier when Chris heard a CDR of his productions in 1999. Chris quickly brought him into the FADE Records fold. Soon thereafter, Steve was signed as the youngest member to join The Collective Agency; home to Sasha, U.N.K.L.E., and Lee Burridge. He began touring across the U.S., Canada, South America, Australia, Asia and Europe and has played alongside Sasha on the Airdrawndagger & Involver North American tours, Sander Kleinenberg on the Essential Mix Tour and also headlining a hectic schedule of national and international DJ dates.
Over the last six years, Steve has amassed a wide portfolio of over 70 singles and 28 remixes under his name and the many aliases (Agent 001, HDF & Bons) used to suit the mood of the song. His myriad of tracks have been dominating dancefloors globally with the versatility of Porterhouse finding its way into the record boxes of everyone from Sasha, Lee Burridge, Derrick Carter, Carl Cox, Sander Kleinenberg, Mark Farina and Paul van Dyk. Steve’s debut artist album ‘Homegrown’ released in 2005 on Fade Records is an amalgam of his various unique styles and melodic nuances. The expertly mixed album brings together 14 original tracks.
